BRIDGE Conference

The purpose of the BRIDGE (Building Relationships in the Diaspora/Global Experience) Conference is to bring together leaders, educators and researchers to explore how people of the African Diaspora (people of Ancestry dispersed around the world) can re-discover their common origins and uplift the quality of life for Africans.

The BRIDGE Conference brings together scholars from various universities in America, Europe and African nations. They will present invited papers and share in plenary sessions. Many of the sessions will determine one or more actions steps that can be implemented within the local communities in Ghana.

Bridge Conference

The customary purpose of the Conference is to bring together leaders, educators and researches to explore how people of the African Diaspora can rediscover their common origins and uplift the quality of life for Africans.  The BRIDGE Conference brings together scholars from various universities in America, Europe and African nations who present invited papers and share in plenary sessions.

The 2019 - 2020 BRIDGE Conferences will take on a special meaning since this year commences the “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” as a homecoming of brothers and sisters of African descent to the land of our ancestors. The “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” commemorates 400 years since the landing of the first enslaved Africans in North America, celebrates the resilience and contributions of our African ancestors. The Registration Cost for the GHANA BRIDGE Conference in Ghana in 2020 is:  $1995 (excludes airfare)

Registration for BRIDGE Conference includes: 

  • Accommodations for length of conference
  • Meals, Refreshments & Bottled Water
  • Internet
  • Domestic transportation in Ghana and excursions to Elmina Slave Castle Tour and the University of Cape Coast

Initial $100 Deposit Due July 1, 2019 (non-refundable)
Final Payment Due November 15, 2019
