Our History and Vision
Our story is still being written as God continues to change lives for the sake of Christ by His Spirit through the ministries and people of our church.
NCCI began as a Fellowship in the home of Joseph and Vanessa Quainoo at 9 Welfare Avenue, Cranston, RI in 1995. By mid 1996, the small group of believers in one Cell group started meeting at 500 Hope Street in Providence where the Presbyterian Church met. The Pastors of the two congregations, Joseph Quainoo and Joseph Miller worked together to share space for several months until NCCI Church moved into their new meeting place at 1290 Westminster Street, Providence, purchased in 1997.
It has been a journey of faith but founding members such as Vanessa Quainoo and Evangeline Hankinson have been very supportive and faithful. Today NCCI has established ten congregations in Ghana and also raised up many sons and daughters in ministries who have also started their own ministries and Churches. Included in this number are New Hope Christian Church, Pastor Troy Edwards, Victorious Christian Word Fellowship, Pastor Ben Bani, Shepherds Gate Ministry, Pastor Appiah Kyenkyehene, Christian Heritage Church, Pastor Mensa Donkoh, Abundant Life Bible Church and Pastor John Afoh, New Covenant Church.
