BRIDGE Conference will be held Feb. 3, 2020 – Feb. 7, 2020

In 2019 a local Bridge Conference is tentatively scheduled to take place in several HBCUs in the US. The customary purpose of the Conference is to bring together leaders, educators and researches to explore how people of the African Diaspora can rediscover their common origins and uplift the quality of life for Africans. The BRIDGE Conference brings together scholars from various universities in America, Europe and African nations who present invited papers and share in plenary sessions.

The 2019 - 2020 BRIDGE Conferences will take on a special meaning since this year commences the “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” as a homecoming of brothers and sisters of African descent to the land of our ancestors. The “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” commemorates 400 years since the landing of the first enslaved Africans in North America, celebrates the resilience and contributions of our African ancestors.
